Luka Doncic’s ‘biggest question’ for next season must be answered quickly……..

A major question mark around Luka Doncic’s health is the 2024–25 season.

With training camp for all clubs approaching in less than a month, the NBA’s never-ending offseason is almost over. Dallas Mavericks supporters are eager to see the team’s revamped roster play, even if they were fortunate to have a shorter summer given the team’s run to the NBA Finals.

Although Dallas pulled off a number of impressive trades, like obtaining Klay Thompson through a sign-and-trade and adding Quentin Grimes, most supporters are still ecstatic about their team’s Slovenian star, Luka Doncic.

Even though he had his finest season to date last season, Doncic is still not at his peak. Although Doncic still has room to improve, there is one major question that might have a big impact on the Mavs’ season going forward.
Tyler Watts of Hoops Habit labeled the biggest question for Doncic next season as “Is Luka Doncic healthy heading into potential MVP season?” and that may be the biggest question about the Mavs going into training camp that’ll need to be answered quickly.

Doncic was extremely banged up during the 2024 NBA Playoffs, and his injuries included knee soreness, ankle soreness, and a chest contusion that required him to receive painkilling injections. He was on the injury report for every single playoff game, and having him 100 percent healthy for the start of the season will be crucial for Dallas’ success.

Doncic is among the favorites to win MVP once again next season, and him being fully healthy is going to be crucial for him to win this prestigious award for the first time. He has been able to get some rest over the last month or so since Slovenia didn’t make the Olympics, and although this was likely crushing for Doncic, it could have been a blessing in disguise for the Mavs.

In the pre-Olympic qualifiers, Doncic was not himself. The same injuries from the playoffs were still bothering him considerably, and it was clear that he needed to get some rest after the long NBA season.
